Oslo Trip - 2024🏙

Our annual company excursion has come to an end! We were fortunate enough to visit three amazing companies: SpareBank 1 Markets AS, Schibsted, and PGS.

We started at Sparebank 1 Markets, where we gained a great insight into how the world of investors works, as well as the exciting daily lives of the different employees. We would like to extend a special thanks to Christian Nygaard and the rest of the team for an exceptionally well-organized visit.

Schibsted M&A introduced us to their history and how they evolved from a simple printing press to becoming one of the most important companies in the Nordic region through wise and bold investments. Here, we received valuable insights into what a successful company must prioritize to make good investments and how to effectively leverage synergies between different companies. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Daniel Elston and Martin Klungland for allowing us to be inspired by their work in M&A.

Lastly, we visited PGS, which showed us the role they play in the oil industry today and how they aim to transform and contribute to a greener world in the future. We received an excellent overview of how their technology works today, as well as how it can be utilized in the future. We also gained a very interesting insight into various strategic plans they have implemented and those they wish to carry out in the future. This meeting wouldn’t have been possible without the strong commitment of Oyvind L. and Artem Lytkin.

Finally, we would like to thank all our wonderful members for contributing to making this such a great trip. We look forward to repeating it next year!
